Christ is risen!
Doubt may be human but it may also be spiritual. We are spiritual beings in a body. We will either believe the voice of the Holy Spirit or the voice of the spirit of the Antichrist, as John calls it in his letter. The Spirit of the Antichrist is the spirit of deception denying Jesus is the son of God, who came in the flesh.
We either believe the Holy Spirit testifying Jesus is the son of God, or we listen to the prince of the Air, as Paul calls it in Ephesians, who is at work in the children of disobedience destined for destruction.
That's why we must choose this day whose report will we believe?
As for me and my house, we will believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We believe his testimony when he called himself the son of God. We believe the testimony of the Apostles, who saw him when he died on the cross and after he was resurrected. Most of them died for that very claim. We also believe the testimony of the Holy Spirit. The spirit of truth testifies within us about Jesus.

Not only do we believe, but like Peter, we know Christ. We have seen him, felt him. He has touched our hearts and minds.
The Lord has answered our prayers countless times, he saves us, delivers us, and protects us. The peace he brings to our heart and our home is a peace that goes beyond our human intellect. Therefore, confidently, we can place our trust in Christ as our saviour. We know eternal life is in him.

Today, we celebrate Passover, remembering the blood of the Lamb that spares us from God's wrath. It places us in an unbreakable relationship with God the Father.
I want to invite you to partake in this blessing. Bring your doubts to the Lord.

Seek him while he may still be found. Seek him like Mary at the tomb. She thought someone must have taken his body, she even thought he was the gardener, but Jesus still called her by name. If you seek him, he will call you by name.
In the name of Jesus, be free from the spirit of doubt crippling you even today. Christ is risen!
