Paul, in his letter to the Ephesians, said God blessed us with every spiritual blessing. What exactly are our spiritual blessings. I believe they are mightier than what money can buy. They are a real treasure. It's everything we seek as humans. Sometimes we seek them in the wrong places. If you feel like you are poor, lonely, sinner, outcast, rejected. Remind yourself of the truth of Christ. Here's a list of things that are available to you. Free of charge. Christ paid for each one of these blessings.
1. You are chosen to be holy and blameless. Think about it. You may feel full of guilt, but God has chosen to remove it from you.
2. Adopted in love: The Lord adopted us out of his good pleasure. No one twisted his arm to love you and welcome you! He made you a beloved daughter.
3. Glorious grace: God gave you the favor you don't deserve. He saves you from your enemies. You can receive grace in every area of your life!
4. You are forgiven: There's no condemnation for you. It doesn't matter your mistakes. Our Lord can cleanse you and remember your sins no more.
5. Wisdom and understanding: Perhaps you don't have a fancy diploma. Maybe you are struggling with raising your kids. If you ask God, he will be generous and give you his wisdom abundantly.
6. Included in Christ: We hear so much about discrimination, racism, and bullying. Perhaps, you grew up feeling like you were an outcast. But God is telling you, you are included in him.
7. You belong to someone: The Holy Spirit is your seal, your brand. He's the one who makes you a beloved child of God. Perhaps you wear the nicest clothes in town, and your wallet can't handle it anymore. I have good news for you! If you didn't know it, you bear God's brand in you. The Holy Spirit is a seal in your heart that guarantees your salvation.
8. You have an incredible power: The same power that rose Christ from the grave lives in you. You have resurrecting power within you.
9. You are seated in places of authority. When your world is falling apart, you have to recognize God has given you authority. You are seated together with Christ in heavenly places. Far above all principalities and powers. Anything dividing your families, recking your children's lives, you can take authority and see those principalities run away in the name of Jesus.
