Will you be OK?
Are you righteous? True righteousness isn't based on your works. It's based on the work of Jesus at the cross. Phew! That's good news. Think about the hot mess we get ourselves into. Yet, God calls us righteous when we have placed our trust, our faith in Christ's hands.
I remember my father was in the military and later worked as a security manager at one of the largest sugar mill companies in Central America. The place is a paradise. It's a secluded, secure, and a peaceful land. You never heard of anything terrible happening in that particular subdivision. One day, however, one of the stakeholders of the company had received death and kidnapping threats. The man called my dad and told him, "I place my life in your hands."
What a powerful statement. It takes faith to place your life in someone else's hands. You've got to trust this person is on your side, will stay true to his word, and knows what he's doing.
In the same way, we can place our trust in Christ. He will prove, time and time again, his love for us.
He will prove to us that he can do the job. His job is to save us! He is not a liar, nor weak, and he's not dead.
Jesus is alive! I have decided to place my entire life in his hands. I take him at his word. I want to invite you today to believe in your heart, and to confess Jesus is Lord. He died, and he rose from the grave. The Bible says when you believe, you will be saved. Not only that, you automatically become righteous by faith. Therefore, when judgment comes, as Isaiah 3:10 says. You will be ok because you are the righteousness of God through Christ Jesus.
Trust your soul into his hands, and it will be well with you.
